Dr. Liu Limin received his Ph.D. degree in engineering from the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2006. His supervisor was Academician Ye Hengqiang. He has worked at the Queens University Belfast, UK; the Fritz Haber Institute of the Max Planck Society, Germany; the University College London, UK; and, the Department of Chemistry at Princeton University. In 2012, he was included in the second batch of the “Thousand Young Talents Program” and the “Outstanding Youth” funded by the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars. He mainly studies the physical and chemical problems existing in the material interface, especially the influence of excess electron on photocatalytic performance.
He has published more than 120 papers in international journals, including 7 papers in the Nature sub-publication. He was invited to write special review articles for journals such as Surf. Sci. Reports. He is currently international editorial board member of the Scientific Reports and Progress in Nature Science: Materials International. He also serves as Deputy Secretary General of the Computational Materials Science Branch of the Chinese Materials Research Society, and member of the International Society of Electrochemistry.
