【澳门太阳2007网址】Exploratory 3D Reconstruction and Visual Perception of Indoor Robot



Visual perception is the most important way for robots to explore, perceive, and understand unknown environments. With the rapid development of 3D sensing technologies and the rapid expansion of 3D geometry data, 3D graphics has been deeply intersecting and blending with visual technology, forming a new direction of robot vision based on 3D geometry. This provides important technical support for the robots three-dimensional perception and stereo interaction of the unknown environment.

The report focuses on 3D geometric reconstruction and semantic understanding of robot indoor scenes, including: autonomous 3D scanning and reconstruction of unknown scenes guided by directional field, multi-robot collaborative 3D scanning and reconstruction, 3D scene segmentation based on active interaction of robots, and 3D scene reconstruction under object-aware guidance.


Xu Kai, Ph.D., is a professor of National University of Defense Technology. He has been funded by the National Natural Science Foundation “Excellent Youth Fund” and the Hunan Provincial Natural Science Foundation “Outstanding Youth Fund”. He has published more than 30 A-level papers on ACM Transactions on Graphics, CVPR, and AAAI. He is a member of the editorial board of international journals such as ACM Transactions on Graphics, Computer Graphics Forum, Computers and Graphics, and The Visual Computer. He used to be thesis co-chairman at international and domestic conferences such as CAD/Graphics 2017, ICVRV 2017, and GDC 2016. He also serves as program member of top international conferences such as SIGGRAPH, SIGGRAPH Asia, and SGP. He has won the first prize of Hunan Natural Science, the second prize of military science and technology progress, the outstanding doctoral thesis award of the whole army, the “Geometric Design and Computing Young Scholar Prize” of the Chinese Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics, and the “Hunan Young Talents” award.
