South Korea Youth Delegation’s Visit to Our University


       On the afternoon of November 24th, forty people of South Korea Youth Delegation paid a visit to our university and had a colloquium to communicate with the teachers and students of our university in the Report Hall of International Students’ Building. Zhang Rao and Jia Guoqun, Associate Department Chiefs of International Department of Central Communist Youth League Committee attended the colloquium. The other attendees included Zhu Jiang, Deputy Secretary-general of Youth Federation of Hunan Province, Li Huinan, Office Director of Youth Federation of Hunan Province, Li Bochao, Deputy Secretary of CCP of Xiangtan University, and other leaders from relative departments of the university such as Youth League Committee, International Exchange Center and Student’ Affairs Office.
      The colloquium was held in an enthusiastic and friendly atmosphere. Deputy Secretary Li Bochao extended his warm welcome to South Korea Youth Delegation’s visit and gave a basic introduction of Xiangtan University. He also expressed his welcome for the South Korea students to study in our university in the future. Mr. Jin Hongche, Head of South Korea Youth Delegation and Officer of South Korea National Juvenile Committee, gave an introduction of South Korea Youth Delegation and his sincere thanks to the organizing unit of the colloquium. He also expressed his hope for further strengthening of communication and cooperation. Later, the student delegates from Xiangtan University and South Korea gave speeches in turn to express their mutual hope to strengthen the communications and studies. 
      “Liuyang River, how many roundabout corners does it go around … ”, in the melody sung by the students of Xiangtan University, the Chinese and South Korea students continued their further communication and discussion. They were hand in hand, heart to heart and played the games of “Three Men Walking with Four Feet”, “Make Concerted Efforts to Move the Air Balloons” Lots of laughter filled the Report Hall. They also talked in Chinese, Korea and English to communicate effectively. The delegates from both sides also exchanged presents. Deep friendship was built during the short communication between the students of the two countries. They exchanged visiting cards and presents and took photos together before their reluctant part.
      Invited by All-China Youth Federation, South Korea Youth Delegation led by Delegation Head Mr. Jin Hongche, Officer of South Korea National Juvenile Committee, paid a friendly visit to Hunan Province from November 20th to 29th. Our university is the only visiting university in the province. South Korea National Juvenile Committee was founded in April 2005, which was integrated by Juvenile Bureau of South Korea Culture Tourism Ministry and South Korea Juvenile Committee. The Committee is affiliated to Premier’s Office of the State Council and it’s the highest administrative department for juvenile affairs in South Korea government.
