Our Students Won Honours in the Mechanical Innovative Design Contest
Recently, the students from Mechanical Engineering College of our university have won the second prize in HuiYu competition group in the third national college student mechanical innovative design contest. They have also won the second prize from the third innovative design and manufacturing contest for college students in the central south area and Hong Kong, Macao area.
Over 50 design works from more than 40 colleges nationally have entered the final competition in HuiYu group of the third national college student mechanical innovative design contest, which was held at Beijing University of Chemical Technology. The works recycling ship for floating garbage by Shen Yulong, Ma Guo, Wang Huan, Zhang Tao and Peng Peng (advisers: Liu Jipu, Wen Meichun) in Mechanical Engineering College of our university have won the second prize. It is the first time for our university winning honour in the national contest for college students on mechanical innovative design.
The works of “recycling ship for floating garbage” is aimed at solving the existing pollution situation from floating garbage on the lakes and rivers, while use the most primitive refloating ways. It is a multiple-processing garbage ship colleting the functions of picking, classification, treatment and recycling garbage. With this ship, garbage clearance and recycling can be really achieved. This ship has the features of high efficiency, low power consumption and environmental protection etc.
The works XU-Ⅰ fuel emulsified machine by Zhou Jia and Tan Xiangling (advisers: Cheng Minxiang, Li Qiqing) in Mechanical Engineering College of our university have won the second prize in the third innovative design and manufacturing contest for college students in central south area and HongKong, Macao area, which was held at Shaoguan University ofGuangdong.
The successful design of XU-Ⅰ fuel emulsion machine has gong through deep investigation, comprehension and repeated experiments on combustion technology of the emulsified oil. Its main components, rectangular trough machine with double helix appearance, is an emulsified oil production system without any moving part, which makes use of surplus oil pressure to achieve emulsification, and the emulsified function in it can achieve an immediate emulsification and instant combustion. XU-Ⅰfuel emulsified machine can be well used into industrial practice, which can achieve the effect of energy saving and environmental protection, having significant social and economic benefits.
