Spanish Majors in International Exchange College Makes Satisfactory Achievements in Selective Examin
The selective examination for overseas studies co-organized by our university and University of Leon (Spain) was ended recently. All the 28 Spanish majors in the year of 2006 in International Exchange College took the examination and passed.
The Sino-Western program of International Exchange College was firstly held in 2004. Satisfactory achievements have been made in teaching, especially since September, 2005. In line with the characteristics of Sino-Western cooperative education program, cooperative teaching plans were worked out that meet the approval of our university and University of Leon, and teaching quality control was emphasized. The desirable language foundation and comprehensive quality of our students have always received a positive evaluation from University of Leon. 92% of our Spanish majors went to University of Leon for further study in 2006, and 78% made it in 2007. Meanwhile, in 2006 and 2007, our Spanish majors attended the Sino-Western Entrepreneur Summit organized by Spanish Industrial Zone in Hunan province and served as the translators and interpreters. Their effort won the praise from the Spanish business community and Foreign Affairs Office of Hunan province.
Having heard the good news, Spanish majors in the year of 2006 are preparing for their visa materials actively and in an orderly way, looking forward to studying and living in Spain. The good news also ignited the Spanish majors in the year of 2007 with self-confidence.
