The Delegation of San Francisco State University (US)Visits Our University
On the afternoon of October 22, a delegation of four people, including Chinese-American Doc. Wu Yanbo, Vice President of San Francisco State University (SFSU) in the United States and Prof. Jerry Combs, Certification Officer responsible for the verification of diploma, visited our university. The delegation was received by Liu Changgeng, Vice President of our university, the people in charge of our International Exchange Center and the relevant staff. The two parties had a discussion on the issues of common interest.
Ranked the 48th among the 2,000 universities in the American West, SFSU has a school-running history of more than 100 years and has more than 30,000 students. During the talks, the two parties firstly gave an introduction to their respective achievements in such fields as education and teaching, scientific research and the internationalization of higher education, etc. Vice President Wu Yanbo showed admiration for our achievements in recent years and expressed his wish to have cooperation in student exchange, teacher training and the joint-educational project by exerting both parties’ respective advantages. During the visit, Prof. Jerry Combs delivered a brilliant academic report titled American Election, which created an active atmosphere and got a favorable reception from our teachers and students.
