Prof. Zhong Jianxin Being Subsidized by the “College Cultivation Fund of the Key Scientific and Tech
Recently, according to Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Education, the project Research on Nanostructure Partition and Doping and Technology of Efficient Micro-Nano Thermoelectric Conversion proposed by Prof. Zhong Jianxin from our Faculty of Materials, Optoelectronics and Physics, was on the list of the “College Cultivation Fund of the Key Scientific and Technical Innovation Project (2008)” and thus received a financial aid of 800,000 RMB.
“College Cultivation Fund of the Key Scientific and Technical Innovation Project” aims to encourage the original innovations in higher education institutions (HEIs), enhance their competitiveness to undertake various national key sci-tech projects, and cultivate several technology innovation teams and a group of research backbones that have creative ability as well as development potential, thus making a greater contribution to solving the key sci-tech issues in the development of national economy and society. Each year the Cultivation Fund Project allows one or two project proposals for each HEI directly under Ministry of Education, one project proposal for each Provincial Education Department, and sets a limit of about 80 project proposals nationwide.
