Teacher and Students of Our University Win Outstanding Paper Award at National Academic Conferences
At several important National Academic Conferences which were held recently, Graduate Students Liao Min, Yang Feng and Young Teacher Zhong Xiangli, from Key Laboratory of Low Dimensional Materials and Application Technology of Ministry of Education, won Outstanding Paper Award separately.
Master Student Liao Min’s paper Preparation of Bi3.15Nd0.85Ti3O12-CoFe2O4Lead-free Ferroelectric Nanofibers by Electrospinning Method won Outstanding Paper Award at the Second National Academic Conference on Space Material and its Applications held on 20-22April 2009. And altogether ten pieces of Outstanding Paper Award were set up at this conference. The person who attended this conference were academicians of Chinese Academy of Science, Academicians of Chinese Academy of Engineering, leadership from Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, leadership from China Academy of Space Technology, famous experts and scholars from the filed of space material, as well as more than 200 managerial people from industries related to space material.
Doctor Student Yang Feng’s paper Hysteresis Loop of Ferroelectric Thin Film and Fatigue Failure Mechanism Simulation was appraised as Outstanding Student Paper Award at the Third Symposium on Piezoelectricity, Acoustic Waves, and Device Applications which was held in Nanjing on 5-8 December 2008. The other more than 10 students who won the same prize were from Tsinghua University, Nanjing University, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and Zhejiang University etc. The delegates attending the conference were from well-known universities and research institution both at home and abroad including about 20 from abroad.
Young Teacher Doctor Zhong Xiangli won Chinese Material Research Academy Youth Excellent Paper Award at 2008 Chinese Material Symposium held at South China University of Technology on Nov. 23, 2008. Ten prizes were awarded at this symposium, which was the most influential national conference in the field of material, with 19 branches and more than 1200 participants.
Since the establishment of the laboratory, we have attached great importance to academic exchanges and talents cultivation. Especially in recent two years, through unceasingly expanding the breadth and depth of academic exchanges, in particular actively encouraging and supporting young teachers and graduate students to take part in academic conference or visit universities and do cooperative research both at home and abroad, not only a strong academic atmosphere has been formed, but also the academic level of young teachers and graduate students has been improved greatly.
