XTU Holds a National Day Reception for Foreign Teachers, Foreign Students and Students from Hong Kon
To celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Peoples Republic of China and the traditional Mid-Autumn Festival, XTU held a National Day Reception for foreign teachers, foreign students and students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
Entrusted by Party Secretary Xiao Guo’an and President Luo He’an, Vice-President Liu Changgeng delivered a speech on behalf of XTU, introducing the great achievements made by Chinese people since the founding of the P.R.C, especially the Chinas reform and opening up. In addition, he introduced the development course and the great changes taken place in XTU. Then he expressed his gratitude to the foreign teacher for the contributions made by them and he said more and more foreign students and students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan would be welcomed to study in XTU. After that, Indian teacher Mr. Konduri Ravindra Babu made a speech on behalf of foreign teachers and students. He said that China and India are two countries in the world with the largest population, but he admired the achievements since the founding of the P.R.C very much. He wished that China would become more and more prosperous and XTU would get better and better.
The dinner party was proceeding in a happy and harmonious atmosphere at which some foreign teachers and students were dancing to the music to celebrate the two festivals.
