Academic Papers on Humanities and Social Science of XTU Evoke Good Reprecussions
Recently, Office of Social Sciences of Xiangtan University received a letter of congratulation from the Appreciation & Research Center for Academic Achievements in Humanities & Social Sciences, Renmin University of China, which congratulated our university on ranking high on the list of 2010 reprinted paper index on Replicated Journals. XTU stands out in reprint ranking among the institutions of higher learning in 2010, with the times cited ranking the 65th and comprehensive index the 64th respectively of the country, among the top 5% of universities and colleges in China.
It is learned that in 2010, in all 10,230 full texts from 737 institutions of higher learning were reprinted, accounting for 72.4% of the total yearly times cited (14,132) on Replicated Journals. The top 100 universities were selected in terms of times cited and comprehensive index.
Replicated Journals of the Information Center for Social Sciences of Renmin University of China is one of the four abstract journals in China. Both serving as material and evaluator, its times cited (rate) is deemed as an objective and fair appraisal standard in the field of humanities and social sciences by the academic circle and periodical sector. “2010 List of Reprinting Paper Index on Replicated Journals” is the concerted efforts of the Information Center for Social Sciences of Renmin University of China and the Appreciation & Research Center for Academic Achievements in Humanities & Social Sciences. According to the data cited of journals, the three indicators of times cited, rate cited and comprehensive index are employed to carry out ranking in academic journal and author affiliation. Up till now, the list has been published on Guangming Daily, China Press and Publishing Journal and other medium for 11 consecutive years. It basically mirrors the academic level and status of academic journals as well as teaching and research institutions in humanities and social sciences in China in an objective manner, receiving extensive interest and great attention from society.
