XTU Inked Cooperation Agreement with Shikoku University, Japan
Xiangtan University inked a cooperation agreement with Shikoku University of Japan on Nov.20. Xiao Guo’an, Party chief of Xiangtan University and Liu Changgeng, vice president of Xiangtan University attended the signing ceremony.
Mr. Xiao made a welcoming speech, in which he introduced the construction & development as well as international exchange & cooperation of XTU. He hoped that the two sides would, taking the signing ceremony as a starting point, enhance exchange and cooperation in scientific research and teaching, personnel training and other aspects, and make contributions to cultural exchange and prosperity of China and Japan.
President of Shikoku University Noboru Fukuoka elaborated on the basic situation of his university including its teaching characteristics and branch superiorities. He expected to establish long-term and close partnership and wished Xiangtan University a better future.
Xiao Guo’an and Noboru Fukuoka signed at the cooperation memorandum, and reached agreement in terms of exchange of undergraduates and graduates, joint research, sharing of academic information and communication of researchers.
Shikoku University is a private university set up in 1925. The university has complete establishment of subjects with Faculty of Literature, Faculty of Management and Information Science, Faculty of Hunan Life Science and Junior College. Unique in teaching, Shikoku University places emphasis upon individualized education and quality cultivation of students, and fashions self-reliance and self-improvement.
