Comrade Wen Jiabao Presents His Inscribed Books to XTU

On 23rd Jan, after autographing his newly-published book Wen Jiabaos View on Education, Comrade Wen Jiabao, former member of the standing committee of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee and Premier of PRC, respectively presented his books to our universitys Party Secretary Mr. Zhang Jing, President Mr. Huang Yunqing and Former President Mr. Luo He’an, and extended his new-year greetings and wishes to our faculties, students and staff.


Published on 31st Oct 2013, the book Wen Jiabaos View on Education covers Wens representative works on education from Sep 1995 to Mar 2013, including 66 pieces of speeches, reports, letters and talks, 17 pieces of news coverage, and over 50 pieces of scene photos on educational activities. With both texts and pictures, enjoying plentiful content and profound significance, it fully demonstrates Wens core judgments on education in accordance with the requirement of our time and development laws of education. It is of great theoretical and realistic importance for us to thoroughly study and apply the guidance of the 18th CPC National Congress, further implement the strategies of “developing the nation by science and education” and “strengthening the nation by nurturing talents” in the new era, promote the scientific development of educational cause, and improve modern educational system with Chinese characteristics.

As a university with its name inscribed by the eras great man Comrade Mao Zedong with his instruction to bring it to a success, ever since its establishment, our university has received ardent anticipation on its construction and development from generations of Party and State leaders, which has not only laid a solid foundation for our high-standard schooling and fast development, but also provided strong impetus for our faculties and students to strive forward with unremitting work, joint efforts and pioneering spirit.
